Passive Fire Protection
PFP
The functions of passive fire protection:
- Protect your staff against the effects of fire or explosion
- Protect your plant against the effects of fire or explosion
- Offer long-term preservation of metallic structures against corrosion
Our teams have the expertise to implement suitable passive fire protection (PFP) systems for any fire scenario (cellulosic fire, gas fire, hydrocarbon fire) and to offer all-inclusive turnkey solutions :
- Application of intumescent coatings (acrylic or epoxidic) on site or in our workshops
- Application of ceramic wool-based thermal insulation
- Design and application of flexible covers, removable components for easy operational work
- Design and application of epoxy resin enclosures, rigid and submersible components
- Design and application of rigid enclosures (Rigid Enclosure System) for the protection of large-sized components
- On-site maintenance of passive fire protection systems
Keep your plant safe for longer…
PFPIntumescent coating for gas and hydrocarbon fires
- Function: to protect structures and metal equipment from burning gas jets (“jet fires”) and hydrocarbon fires (“pool fires”).
- Technology: two-part epoxy resin
- Thickness range: 2 to 35 mm (depending on the selected fire scenario)
- Suitable for: gas transport and storage, manufacture/transport and storage of hydrocarbons and their derivatives, chemical production and processing industry
- Advantages:
- Very high corrosion durability: up to 10 years Ri 0 guarantee (approvable by the OHGPI depending on corrosivity of the environment and thickness of the applied system)
- Excellent impact and crack resistance
- Limited weight
- Applicable in workshop or on site
